The BCC is now known as BCN (Bain Capability Network) with its nodes across various geographies. BCN plays a critical role in supporting Bain’s case teams globally to help with analytics and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property.
ABOUT INDIA CoE:
The CoE will have teams working in tandem with India Consulting teams supporting the Bain case / client development teams in producing client-ready research and analysis, and generating strong business insights. It provides opportunity for enhanced learning with end-to-end participation on consulting cases along with opportunities for end-client interaction. The teams will work across industries and capabilities on multiple mid/long term cases depending on requirement.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Associates will play a team member role to support Bain India consulting case teams and client development teams, driving the analysis on complicated cases with significant direction from a Team Leader. Typical assignments will include primary (through calls/interviews) and secondary research, speaking with customers, performing financial analysis, preparing client presentations and working with clients to implement recommendations. Associates may work in a team set-up of Analysts or/and contributing individually. As associates become stronger contributors to the team, they will gain more client contact and broader strategic development responsibilities.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Take responsibility of working in a client facing role, understand client needs and adapt to case expectations
Working in parallel or within existing India Consulting teams on live consulting cases
Assume end to end ownership of output – formulate and test hypotheses, gather and analyze information, develop and communicating recommendations
Demonstrate ability to quickly come up to speed on different businesses and perform research and analysis across all geographies and industries. Provide solid business judgment to derive answers in situations where data is not easily available or explicitly published
Perform secondary research, triangulating information from a variety of sources (analyst reports, market research reports, news articles etc.) and applying sense checks on the results
Liaise efficiently with internal and external stakeholders. Design and execute in-depth discussions/interviews with the client teams, client’s customers, competitors, suppliers and employers, expert interviews etc. to generate insights
Effectively structure communication of insights from cases. Deliver clear and professional presentations to the case teams and client teams

Requirements:
Candidate should be a Graduate from top-tier College with strong academic records, including coursework in relevant position, preferably quantitative courses in mathematics, business, economics or engineering and 24-48 months of experience or a Post Graduate from top-tier College with 0-24 months of experience.
Possess excellent analytical, communication, problem solving and team player skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and work under high pressure case environment
Demonstrated interest in related fields through internships, coursework or extracurricular activities
Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional, or extracurricular setting
A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
Proficient in the English language to communicate effectively both in writing and speech in a professional environment
Should possess strong in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Prior experience in similar analytical roles may be an added advantage.
