Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to achieve business objectives by ensuring timely supply of requisite input materials i.e. raw materials, consumables, solvents, reagents, packing materials, spares, stationeries etc; and conducting periodic follow ups with all the stakeholders, service both internal and external customers to meet the organization

standards as well to meet the requirements of regulatory authorities.

 

Key Responsibilities: 
•    To track the purchase request (PR) in SAP
•    End to end tracking (Purchase to Pay)
•    Sourcing right vendors globally for all raw materials, packing and choosing competitive vendors.
•    Good manufacturing practice (GMP) process and selection of vendors and audit co-ordination
•    Good negotiation with vendor for Pricing, Quality, INCOTERM, delivery turnaround time (TAT) etc.,
•    Releasing the purchase order (PO) as per agreed turnaround time with due diligence
•    Mangalore Special Economic Zone / Special Economic Zone / Export Oriented Unit documentations
•    Finding opportunities for executing annual rate contracts
•    Coordination with cross function team for licensing requirements for restricted materials
•    Intensive follow-up with vendors for prompt deliveries
•    Achieve 99% QUOTIF (Quantity on Time In Full) as per requirements
•    Complying with Safety and Regulatory requirements
•    Trouble shooting and influencing with the team
•    Follow-up with finance for payments to the vendors
•    Bringing Good Practices and Striving for continual improvements
•    Vendor Rating
•    Fulfil end user requirements of emergency materials on day to day basis
•    Regular updates to the end users
•    Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
•    Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company

 

Educational Qualification: 
•    B. Sc. Chemistry / any discipline with Chemistry as one of the subjects
•    Diploma in Materials Management from any reputed institute

 

Technical / functional Skills:
•    Sound knowledge on Chemicals, API, Impurities, Working Standard, Excipients, Cell culture media, glass wares and Packing materials etc
•    SAP – MM module
•    Good knowledge on Import regulations for licensed and restricted products.
•    Knowledge of Customs and Excise procedures
•    Negotiation skill and vendor development
•    Purchase experience in CRO, CMO, Pharma companies
•    Knowledge of International Air Traffic Association-Dangerous Goods regulations
•    Better co-ordination with internal team and external like freight forwarder / Custom House Agent / logistic partners
•    Effective communication skills both written and verbal
•    Possess the knowledge and exposure to environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices

 

 

Experience: 
•    5-7 years’ experience in Pharma / CRO industry

 

Behavioral Skills:
•    Candidate should have good Interpersonal skills, time management skills and a positive attitude
•    Candidate should be Customer Centric focused
•    Candidate should be result oriented and proactive
